UPDATE,UPDATE!! Long overdue

So its been awhile since I updated. It's just been busy and distracting over the last few months. Since my last post, which looks to be Halloween...Ok so for Thanksgiving this year, we attempted our own feast of turkey,dressing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, and gravy. For dessert Lexi made cookies, her own creation, they were actually quite good!! Wish I had pictures to post, but at the moment I don't know where they are :(  

Ok so on to Christmas!! I'm upset at myself because I didn't even take pictures of Christmas Morning :( I know, I'm a bad mother, but I got so distracted putting together all of the toys Santa blessed us with..!! *sigh*!! Plus, I had to "test them out", anyways I got sidetracked no pics. But, the kids were excited and overjoyed by all the Santa goodies, so it was another successful Christmas!!

Halloween 2011

 Yes, I know I'm just now posting on Halloween this year...Anyways..it was alot of fun by all. I went trick or treating with my BFF Meg and her kids (Mason and Brighton). Lexi brought her boyfriend, Tristan who scored candy for Lani and Brighton (their excuse for trick or treating at 14!!) Mason and Jaidyn had a blast knocking on doors and getting their bags full of candy. They are soo cute. Mason was dracula, Jaidyn was a butterfly, Brighton and Lani were rockstars, just adorable!! is all I can say.

Pumpkin Walk 2011

I went to the Pumpkin Walk this year, my first one!  I went with my BFF Meg, her kids and I brought Jaidyn, Lani, and my hubby.  It was interesting to see how creative people can be.  There were scenes set up of all kinds, including:  Angry Birds, Calvin & Hobbes, Winnie the Pooh, Nightmare Before Christmas, A Christmas Story, Plants vs Zombies, and many more..

Update!

Week 1 of work went well, now if I could only figure out a sleep schedule. Some days I get more than others; I was definitely ready for the weekend.  I'm so glad I have a supportive husband and daughter trying to allow me time to catch up on housework by either helping out or just letting me sleep.  However, I just wish I could allow myself to sleep during the day when I have the opportunity. Guess I'm just so used to being housewife, I still feel its my sole responsibility to still do it all.  As for school, surprisingly I'm finding just enough time to study; though not as much as I'd like.  I know I can figure this all out and in a few weeks I will have all the kinks ironed out, but its definitely been an adjustment as expected.  What else?!

Oh, so Lani's 1st Birthday is in a few weeks and Halloween right around the corner as well, so many fun family activities to plan! Hoping I can finally get their costumes bought in time, but can't seem to decide on a costume idea and keep procrastinating, (Yeah I know I better get on that!!)  That's it for now!..

So Excited!!

I got a job today, working graveyard shift at TTM Technolgies in the printing department.  I haven't worked since 2008 so I'm both excited and nervous, but I can finally feel like a contributor to my family. My hubby has taken the burden of working extra hours so I didn't have to work.  Though he was more than happy to do it and be the bread winner, I'm equally happy to lift the pressure off of him and add to our family income. This job couldn't come at a better time, 2 birthdays (Lani-October 27th & Jaidyn-November 26th) plus Christmas. Life is Awesome!!

My First Blog!

So I started a blog, now what? Where do I begin? 

Guess I can begin with  what makes me who I am today.  I'm married to a hardworking, wonderful husband, a mother of 4 daughters.  My oldest is Alexis (14), she is my strength and motivation driving me to be a better person. Such a beautiful young lady she has become, I'm proud to be her momma.  My 2nd daughter is Morrigan (13) , my sweetheart a perfect portrait of pure innocence; diagnosed with autism at the age of 3.  My 3rd daughter is Jaidyn (4), she keeps my blood pumping, full of energy and sass, the smartest little girl I know. She knows how to operate a smart phone, iPad, PC, and playstation better than most adults.  She came into this world in a hurry and has never stopped. Her daddy delivered her on my front lawn!!  My 4th, and FINAL, daughter is Milani (11 months), I call her my "tiny gem", she's a spitting image of her daddy and the gleam in my eye, so full of smiles and mischievous personality to boot; a deadly combo!!  Though I have no sons, I wouldn't trade my little angels for anything, I'm truly blessed! 

I'm currently attending Utah State University pursuing a bachelor's degree in Psychology hoping to graduate in 2014. I will be the first in my family to have a college degree!! My dream is to be an intervention counselor working with families in crisis.

My realization in life is that nobody is perfect or without fault, but life's obstacles is what makes us stronger and keeps us moving forward. Without mistakes, would we really learn anything?
